Director's Vision ( Stage Pictures)

1. What was your vision as a director/creator for this project?
My vision for this project is to be able to adapt The Story of an Hour to my own story and create something new. I want to be able to bring what I create to life and let people feel what's going on when watching it. 

2. What elements of the original story did you maintain in your project?
I maintain the surprise at the end of the story when she found out that her husband is still alive.

3. What did you change about the original story in your project?
I change the names of the characters, and included less drama in it.

4. What is the twist or climax of your adaptation?
The twist of my adaptation is Emmanuel  planing a way to end the relationship between Micheal and his girlfriend and the climax is Micheal breaking up with his girlfriend and fighting Emmanuel.

5. What is the strongest part of your project so far?
The story line, and the climax of it.

6. What is the weakest part of your project so far?
I would say the beginning of it and being able to put that type of story in a stage pictures 

7. How has this project helped you learn about how stories work?
This project helped me to be able to write my own story and learned how to adapt other stories.

8. How has this project helped you learn how theater works?
It helped me learn how theater adapt other stories to make it their own.

Act 3

The scene starts off with everybody being sad about the money being lost. Everyone was still mad at Walter. Asagai came to the house to help them move. Beneatha then tells him about what happened to the money and then Asagai told her to move to Africa with him “Nigeria.” He said Beneatha home. Beneatha said no because of everything that is going on right now and she started saying some random stuffs but some of them are actually facts. Mamma then tells them to start unpacking and know when to give up to Ruth. Walter then comes back and made a call to Carl Linter. He talked to movers if they’re moving or not. Act 2 Scene 2 and 3

George tries to kiss Beneatha’s, but she moves away. George gives Beneatha compliments about her looks and starts to kiss her, but she rebuffs him again, and he jumps up. Both George and Beneatha argued about why we go to school and read books Beneatha told Mama George is a fool, and mama told her not to waste her time with fools.  Beneatha, then Thanks Mama for understanding her this time. Mrs. Johnson then knocked on their door and; asked Ruth if she was starting to poke out none yet. Mrs. Johnson told them some colored people were bombed out of their own place by some White folks. Mrs.Johnson said Beneatha sometimes acts like she doesn’t want to talk to anyone and mama told her its because she’s going to the bathroom. Mama told Beneatha that she was rude to Ms.Johnson and told Ruth not to talk behind people’s back. Scene 2 Act 1

Ruth was ironing and then Beneatha’s door opened with her wearing the robed Asagai brought her from Nigeria.  Beneatha started listening to Nigerian song She starts doing a Nigerian folks dance “ dance of welcome.  Walter walked in on them and has been drinking. Walter walked closer to Ruth and told her he’s a warrior and Ruth said you are much drunkard  Walter goes on and starting doing his own unknown mood. George walks in on them Ruth was embraced for the family and told Walter to step down and stop acting like a fool George came to talk Beneatha to the theater but she’s not ready and Ruth and Beneatha started arguing about her hair.
